CSH Memory Work Mastery
Super Scholar recognizes scholars who achieve mastery in learning the CSH memory work in one, multiple, or all subjects of their choice.
Memory work mastery is achieved at home using the CSH app or CD’s. Children can track their progress on charts, too. Parents confirm that their child(ren) are ready to be evaluated at year’s end. A Director will quiz the student with the parent present. (Parents are there for support and observe only.) The Director will randomly quiz the child with the beginning portion of the memory work or asking about a topic. For example:
Director: “Tell me about the area of a rectangle.”
Student: “The area of a rectangle equals length times width.”
Director: “Finish this statement: The Civil Rights movement started in…”
Student: Recites or sings the rest of the memory work statement.
Super Scholar Award recognition is presented at our end-of-the-year showcase.
